Minister of Labour and Social Welfare of Uruguay.  He is Doctor in Law and Social Sciences and has a Degree in Development Sociology. He was a Senator (2015-2020), consultant on Corporate Social Responsibility for various companies (2007-2015) and President of the Independent Party (2005-2020). Researcher in Political Sciences at the Catholic University of Uruguay (2005-2012) and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication at the same University (1998-1999).
