Welcome to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) thirty-eighth session!

In this video, ECLAC's Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, invites you to follow the most important session for this Commission, in which we are going to be accountable to the Member States, and we are going to present the report of our activities, our program of work and all the things that we have been able to do during the last biennium.

But, most of all, we are going to have very substantive debates about the pandemic and about, also, what the future is going to look like. And that's why we are going to present a document that its named “Building the Future”, which is a transformative recovery, sustainability and equality.
