About the event

The thirty-seventh session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will be held in Havana, from 7 to 11 May 2018. In accordance with resolution 714(XXXVI) adopted at the thirty-sixth session of ECLAC and resolution 2016/13 of the Economic and Social Council, member States agreed that Cuba would be the host country of this session.
The session is the most important intergovernmental conference for steering the work of ECLAC. It serves as a forum for consideration of the most pressing economic and social development issues for the countries of the region, as well as an occasion to review the progress made by the Commission.
