The session is the conference that ECLAC convenes every two years, and is attended by its 45 member States and its 13 associated members.

In every session, ECLAC presents Governments a document that analyses major development issues in the region.

In 2016 ECLAC will celebrate its thirty-six session in Mexico, where it will present the document Horizons 2030. Equality at the Centre of Sustainable Development.

In this report, the Commission proposes to boost a progressive structural change in Latin America and the Caribbean on the basis of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Goals.
