In this interview, Inge Kaul, Adjunct Professor at Hertie School of Governance in Berlin (Germany), highlights that the development of local and national levels depends nowadays on the creation of global public goods, as well as on the international cooperation in areas such as climate change, acidification of oceans, financial stability, the control of communicable diseases and the cybersecurity. 

This video was recorded at the thirty-sixth session of ECLAC, held in Mexico City from May 23-27, 2016. It takes part of a series of interviews with personalities attending that event, where the regional organization presented the document Horizons 2030: Equality at the center of sustainable development that proposes an analytical framework for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean
