Biography

Alejandra Lagunes is an expert in communications and the Coordinator of the National Digital Strategy of Mexico.

She has worked for more than 10 years in the field of information and communication technology for companies such as Yahoo, MSN, Google and Televisa Interactive Media.

In the political sphere, she coordinated the digital strategies of various electoral campaigns, including that of the Governor of the State of Mexico, Eruviel Ávila, and of the President, Enrique Peña Nieto. In 2012, during the presidential transition, she coordinated the e-government programme, which led to the creation of the department that she currently heads within the Office of the President.

Alejandra Lagunes has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Mexico State campus) and also studied political communications.
