Ministers from Peru, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico and Cuba and the Jamaican Vice-chancellor are taking part in a dialogue as part of the meeting that the United Nations commission is holding in Lima.
Vice-President of Uruguay and the Minister of Economy and Finance of Peru made their remarks on the document Compacts for Equality: Towards a Sustainable Future, which was presented today in Lima by the ECLAC Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena.
ECLAC Executive Secretary took part in the opening of the Committee on South-South Cooperation, a subsidiary body of the Commission, along with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Fernando Rojas.
The Peruvian President and ECLAC’s Executive Secretary Alicia Bárcena inaugurated the Thirty-fifth session of this United Nations organization, which is being attended by authorities from throughout the region.
