Biography
Francisco Roberto Lorenzana Durán is a Salvadoran philosopher and politician and currently Technical and Planning Secretary in the Office of the President of El Salvador.
He previously acted as Deputy Chair of the Governing Board of El Salvador’s Legislative Assembly (2012-2015), a member of the Political Committee of the Legislative Assembly, a member of the Economics and Agriculture Committee, Deputy Chair of the Governing Board of the Legislative Assembly (2009-2012) and Deputy for the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN) party for the department of Santa Ana (2009-2012). He was also a national Deputy for the FMLN and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Legislative Assembly (2000-2004) and of the Economics Committee of the Legislative Assembly (1997-2000).
He is a founding member of the FMLN and was a member of the party’s Policy Committee and National Secretary for Communications from 2010 to 2014. He was the FMLN Campaign Manager in the 2009 presidential elections.
He holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of El Salvador.
